Porcelain Veneers and Your Smile Makeover Dallas TX
Are your teeth misaligned, chipped, or permanently stained? Do you notice other imperfections, like malformations or unevenness? Porcelain veneers may be the perfect solution. I’m Dr. Brock Lynn, a seasoned cosmetic dentist in Dallas, and I will work with you to design your ideal smile makeover. Studies show, people with an attractive smile are considered more intelligent, successful, and friendly. And people with a bright white smile are more likely to have successful job interviews and get hired at a better pay rate. It’s no wonder everyone wants a gorgeous smile!
At your smile makeover consultation, you and I will sit down and discuss what you’d like from your new smile, then I’ll provide a detailed blueprint for my dental lab. I often suggest porcelain veneers because they tackle so many imperfections in a single procedure. Veneers are thin, durable, and attractive restorations that can improve tooth color, shape, alignment, and overall appearance. The ceramist at my dental lab will hand make each of your veneers from high-quality porcelain that will withstand the extreme temperature fluctuations and pressure your mouth endures every day.
As a conservative dentist, I use minimally invasive procedures so that my patients can keep as much natural, healthy tooth structure as possible. But most patients need minor tooth preparation prior to the placement of veneers to achieve ideal fit and a natural look. However, with advances in dental materials, I can offer no-preparation or minimal-preparation veneers for certain cases; they aren’t right for everyone. One no-prep veneer is DuraThins®. These ultra-thin porcelain shells are bonded directly to the tooth. In may remove a very small amount of enamel to achieve the perfect fit, but generally, the placement of DuraThins® veneers requires no preparation. Often, patients who have had teeth extracted before orthodontic treatment are great candidates for DuraThins®, which are designed to increase the appearance of tooth size or to enhance a narrow arch width.
Lumineers®, much like DuraThins®, is a thin version of traditional veneers. Many times, patients who have crowns or bridgework are perfect for Lumineers® because the veneers can be placed right over existing dental work.
For all types of veneers, the placement process takes just two or three office visits, and the results can last for over 20 years. For more information on how to achieve your dream smile, please call my Dallas dental office to schedule a consultation.
